During the month of October Muhlenberg County Homemakers will be collecting canned and non-perishable food items to donate to the local food pantry. Feel free to drop your canned goods off at the Muhlenberg County Extension Office to contribute.                                                                                                                     

October 19   4-H Foodies Cooking Club: 3:30 pm

          The 4-H Foodies Cooking Club is open to youth in grades 4-5. At our meetings we'll prepare delicious recipes and enjoy them together. You'll practice and build skills in basic cooking techniques. Contact the office to get your 4-Her signed up.

October 19   4-H Teen Cuisine Cooking Club: 5 pm

October 23   4-H Beginner Cake Decorating Class: 5:30-7 pm

October 24   4-H Sewing Classes: 6-7:30 pm

          All 4-H youth are welcome to join in on our 4-H Sewing Club. All sewing levels are welcome, projects will be taught based on your 4-Hers skill level. Join us for our first meeting on October 24. We will provide a sewing machine and a basic sewing kit, but you will purchase your own material. If your 4-Her has their own sewing machine, we encourage them to bring it. Contact the office to sign up.

October 25   Block of the Month Quilting Club: 9-3 pm   &   October 26   5-9 pm

October 26   Pennyrile Area Homemakers Annual Meeting in Elkton: 9:30 am   *Van will be leaving the office at 8:30 am

October 28   Farmers Market End of Season Celebration: 8 am

          Join us for the final day of the market for the season. Vendors will be on hand with fresh apples and more. We'll have hot chocolate and apple cider, games, contests, prizes and more. Chili Cookoff begins at 10:30 am. Click above for more information.

October 30   Pinterest Craft Night at the Central City LIbrary: 5 pm

          Pre-registration is required for this class! Join us for a fun night talking and slow cookers, testing recipes, and making a holiday door hanger. Cost is $3. Contact the office to sign up.

November 2   Cooking for One, Two or a Few Homemakers Lesson: 10 am

          Creating and adapting recipes for quality, tasty baked goods can be fun, challenging and rewarding. Learn when you can reduce a recipe size or when it's best to leave it alone, what equipment to have for the job, and then practice recipe reduction techniques.

November 2   4-H Project Me: 5 pm

November 3   4-H Teen Club: 7:30 am

November 6   Cattlemen's Association meeting: 6 pm  *Please contact the office by November 2 to sign up. We need a firm head count for the meal.*
