          Join us the third Tuesday of each month to try a new recipe and learn some great cooking and nutrition tips. March's recipe will be Amazing Pancakes.

March 22   Block of the Month Club: 9 am to 3 pm

          Are you interested in quilting? Join us for our first meeting of the Block of the Month Quilting Club! We will work on a quilt block each month and by the end of 2017 you'll have a complete quilt! Click above for a list of supplies needed. Call the office at 270-338-3124 to sign up. March 25   Prepare to Care: A Planning Guide for Families: 9-11 am          

          It is important to take responsibility to protect yourself and those around you by talking about and putting together a caregiving plan for the future. It is never too late to start the caregiving conversation. Your participation in this 2-hour lesson will help UK researchers better understand the importance and effectiveness of caregiver planning. Contact the office to sign up.

March 27   Pinterest Craft Night at the Central City Public Library: 5:30 pm  Rescheduled   

          March's craft will be wire wrapped bracelets. There is a $5 fee for this class and it is limited to 25 participants. Call the office at 270-338-3124 to sign up.

March 27   County 4-H Demonstration Contest at Greenville Elementary: 6 pm    Rescheduled for April 17    

          Job well done on all of your hard work on your classroom demonstrations. It's time to move on up to our county wide 4-H Demonstration Contest. You do not have to place first in your classroom to enter the county wide contest. Call the office to sign up no later than March 21. A prize will be awarded to each category winner. If you are going to participate, be there by 5:30 pm in order to find your classroom and get set up.

March 28   "Unique Uses of Canning Jars" Homemaker Lesson: 10 am           

          This lesson will focus on unique ways to save money and be creative using canning jars. Canning jars can be helpful in getting organized; packing a healthy salad or other food; home or office decorating as well as the traditional uses of food preservation.

March 29   Homebased Micro-processing Workshop: 9:30 am-3:30 pm   

           Homebased microprocessors are permitted to sale pressure canned vegetables, salsa, and other items at approved Kentucky locations. Click above for more information on micro-processing. March 30   Grazing Winter and Summer Annuals meeting in Princeton: 10 am-3 pm        

           This program will be held at the Research and Education Center in Princeton. There will be classroom sessions and outdoor tours. Some topics will be: managing pastures with excessive amounts of dead crabgrass, revitalizing dilapidated fescue stands, different methods and dates of seeding, and more. Contact the office by March 20 to sign up. A free meal and transportation will be provided.

April 10   Beginner Crochet Class: 5:30 pm          

          Come learn all of the essentials needed to crochet! Supplies needed are: acrylic yarn (any color) and 5.5 mm crochet hook. Contact the office to sign up.

April 20   The World's Greatest Baby Shower at MCHS West Campus: 5-7:30 pm    

          A free, fun and educational event for new and expectant mothers! Mothers with children up to 6 months of age may attend. Mothers may bring 1 guest. Contact the Extension Office by April 17 to register.

April 22   Muhlenberg County Farmers Market Herb & Perennial Plant Swap: 8-10 am

            Join us for the opening day of the Farmers Market. There should be lots of varieties to choose from!

April 27   Diabetes Education Class at the Muhlenberg Co. Health Dept. Office: 4-6 pm       

          Join us for free educational classes to learn more about managing diabetes. Topics will include: Acute Complications, Reducing Risks to Eyes, Kidneys, Heart, Nerves, Skin, Teeth and Feet, Eating Healthy, Medications and more. Other dates will be May 4, May 11 and May 18.
