Beef Production Field Day is scheduled for Monday, March 4, 2024. Topics will include: hay feeding structure, Body Condition Scores on the Beef Herd with Dr. Katie VanValin. Dr. Josh Jackson will discuss using an unmanned aerial vehicle (drone) as well as other new technology that may be used with the beef cattle herd.

Event Description

Beef Production Field Day is scheduled for Monday, March 4, 2024. The field day will be held at John Day’s farm, located at 1277 Carter Creek Road Greenville, KY 42345. The event gets underway at 3 PM. The wagon will leave the shop site at 3:20 PM.

Topics will include: hay feeding structure, Body Condition Scores on the Beef Herd with Dr. Katie VanValin. Dr. Josh Jackson will discuss using an unmanned aerial vehicle (drone) as well as other new technology that may be used with the beef cattle herd.

There will be a free meal at the farm following the event. Please contact the Extension Office at (270) 338-3124 by Thursday, February 29 to register so that we can get a head count for the meal and transportation. This field day is CAIP approved.
