4-H Speech & Demonstration Information

All Muhlenberg County youth in grades 4-6 are required to present a classroom club demonstration. Classroom demonstrations are limited to five minutes. County, Area and State demonstrations need to be five to 15 minutes long.

Use the links below to help you prepare for your classroom demonstration. Use your imagination. Here are some topic ideas that may be helpful to you: How to...bake a cake, make a bird feeder, iron a shirt, play an instrument, make homemade play dough, perform basic first aid, write a thank you letter, the list goes on. Get creative! Remember that your demonstration should have three parts; an introduction (grab the attention of the audience and make them want to listen), a body (tell what supplies you will be using and spend some time on each point while giving examples), and a conclusion (restate your main idea, go back over your supply list, and show your finished product).
